Wednesday Website of the Week No.3 – Mark Avery: Standing Up For Nature

The third WWOW is Mark Avery’s blog, Standing Up For Nature.

Mark is the former Conservation Director for the RSPB, and now writes and works on a freelance basis in wildlife conservation. His blog focuses on conservation issues across the UK (and wider) and often draws attention to bad political decisions being made.

Guest blogs look at specific issues outside of his own specialist area, so it’s a great blog to follow for a crash-course in the complexities of conservation.

So, another I highly recommend you read and follow.

Mark also has a very well-reviewed new book out, Fighting for Birds. I’ve not read it myself yet, but it’s on the Christmas list!

*edit* Sorry, this WWOW has gone out on Thursday. It was written and, I thought, scheduled. Must have got my dates wrong! – David
