When is wild not wild? The above are wild birds. They are not kept or managed. But they have become so at home in the streets of York that they leave the river, and wander the footpaths, every inch a family of tourists.
There are problems here though. These six (and the three you can maybe spot further back) started out by crossing the road. Oddly they did use the crossing, but they will happily wander into the middle of the road and they are not phased by cars. They literally stop traffic.
