Mystery Object – Whose remains are these?

_DSC7457 (1024x682)While out at North Cave Wetlands for Day 24 of 30 Days Wild, I stumbled upon the remains of a bird. And I thought it would be fun to make it into a bit of an ID quiz. Bigger image below…

So, you have 24 hours, answers should ideally be submitted via the comments. The answer will be up at 10 am tomorrow.

Here is the photo. I’ve intentionally put a large image up, so if you click on it you should be able to magnify and see more details. I expect most of you will get it. The photo is probably about half a metre wide to give you some sense of scale.
