A hit of birdsong for the morning – a chattering Goldcrest

It has been a while since I made a sound-based post, so let’s change that with a snippet of birdsong from by Heslington lake…We are in that hinterland where birds that will head North are still here, but may be getting quite vocal nonetheless. It is in that spirit we feature a Goldcrest that has been extremely vocal while hunting through the willow trees by the lake. The clip is a little over a minute. Be warned, at one point a Moorhen calls, it’s much louder, don’t spill your tea!
