30 Days Wild – Day 14 – Mystery Moth 

Last night there was an impressive moth on Red Valerian in the garden.It had a pale grey-white body and wings, but was nearly impossible to photograph as it was a blur of activity, hovering by the flowers to drink nectar.

In behaviour that makes it a lot like a Hummingbird Hawkmoth, but this is visually nothing like that.

I’m not a moth expert and haven’t had chance to try identify it yet, but it was a hypnotic watch.
