I apologise for continuing to post these quick, single image posts of a frozen or thawing pond. But it’s my blog, and I find the variation in the patterns fascinating!
It has taken less than 24 hours for the ice that covered the garden pond to dwindle to a thin floating pane.

I wondered with the cold weather how my pond was doing…
It’s been a while since I last posted, so I thought it was worth a quick look at some of the animals that have been frequenting the garden the past couple of months.
Last week I added a few new plants to the pond. I’ve been doing this on and off over the spring/summer since completing work.
So it’s been a while since the last update and I thought it’d maybe be interesting to see what’s been happening.
A couple of weeks on and most of the plants have arrived and now been placed, at least temporarily, in the pond. What’s brilliant is that this has almost immediately attracted wildlife in.
