Back to the office on Monday, which had the upside of a return to the university lake, last seen frozen over and largely deserted by the birds. Had anything changed?
Having had a busy Christmas and New Year, I thought I’d share a couple of quick posts of photos I took last month. First up are a few from the lake at work, pre-freeze.
Last week I mentioned the moorhen was going a little bit crazy for the mushrooms on offer around the campus. It has since broken out into all out war.
Last week I said I was concerned as the grebe chick was getting mobbed badly by the gulls, and this put it at risk. This week, it has started fighting back.
